Ve-gone!, Part 3

Customer: “I’m a vegan, and this menu isn’t very helpful! You should have a separate vegan menu!”

Me: “All the items with the ‘VG’ symbol next to them are vegan. We can also do vegan options of many of the dishes if you’re happy with some substitutions.”

This is what happens, and the chefs do a marvellous job of throwing together a very unique dish to keep this customer happy.

After they’ve finished their main meal:

Me: “Would you like some dessert?

Customer: “Yeah, I’ve been eyeing up the homemade ice cream.”

Me: “Did you mean the sorbet? That’s vegan, made with no egg whites, just pure fruit juices.”

Customer: “Oh, that’s okay, I actually like ice cream.”
