(My fiancée has hired a personal trainer for the few months before our wedding.)

Fiancée: “Yeah, [Trainer] has really been kicking my a** lately. I didn’t think I’d be able to walk after the session yesterday. But I realized something that makes things much better.”

Me: “Yeah, what’s that?”

Fiancée: “It’s a whole lot easier to get through reps if I imagine that I’m Buffy the Vampire Slayer going through a training montage.”

Me: “… and that’s why I love my nerd.”
