Using Green-Blooded Logic

(The mom of one of my friends is giving me a ride home. We have the tendency to get into weird conversations; I also like to write novels.)

Friend: “Hey, Mom, did you know that all aliens have green blood?”

Friend’s Mom: “Uh, no, are you sure?”

Friend: “Yes, it’s a scientific fact.”

Me: “You know that fact would be only true to us.”

Friend: “No, no, don’t—”

Me: “Because we have red blood, and since we’re aliens to the aliens, the fact that all aliens have green blood would only be true to us.”

Friend: “No! You’re overthinking this!”

Me: “I’m a writer; it’s what I do.”
