So I used to work at a tiny gas station in my home town and just after I started working there my parents decided to sell my childhood home for a house in the county that they’ve always wanted. Now I’ve been asked for directions before but never quite like this.

Older Gentleman: *walks in and goes directly to the counter* Hi I need directions.

Me: Sure where are you trying to get to? [Big City]? Or somewhere in town?

OG: I don’t know where it is. I’ll ask someone else.

Me: That’s alright. Can I help you with anything else?

OG: No I’ll grab a few things and be on my way.

He walks away and one of my regular customers walks in. A real creep that my female coworkers and I will willingly hide from.

Me: Hey [Customer].

I for the most part ignore him and wait for the older gentleman. Then on the way up the older gentleman stops the other customer.

OG: Excuse me, I was wondering if you could help me find someplace.

Customer: Sure, where you headed?

OG: [Address of my childhood home].

Me: Oh! I know where that is! I know exactly where that is!

OG and Customer look at me like I grew a second head.

Me: I used to live there.

OG just paid for his stuff and followed Customer out the door. Welp, I guess he’ll end up on the wrong side of the river.

It’s my niece’s 6th birthday party and everyone is outside watching the kids play in water. I am the only one in my family who has met my middle sister’s boyfriend. He pulls up and my middle sister says this to our older sister.

“please don’t make it weird!’

(My D&D group is starting a new campaign and I’m running a few minutes late to our first session. The second I connect in voice chat, the first thing I hear is the DM’s voice shouting,)

DM: No you can’t play as a flamboyant wizard named “Gandalf the Gay” who magically turns all the monsters and NPCs gay! Pick something else!

Just a funny story to make you have a laugh..

I was once in one of my GCSE dance lessons on a Saturday morning, practice my duet dance. I decided I wanted to incorporate some lifts. So we tried this lift were, I hold her waist and I lift her straight up and down. However, the first time we tried it, she forgot to keep one of her legs straight, thus she back kicked me square in the balls! She felt really bad and was like, “I’m so sorry”. However, I was too busy moaning on the ground. Hope thats brighten up your day! :)

Due to the recent outbreak in illness my corporate job working for a major midwestern retail chain was temporarily put on hold. We were given the option to take time off or help out in stores being that they were considered an essential business. I decided to help in the store and was bringing a cart back to the back room when this happens.

Coworker: Hey (my name)! How’s your baby?

I’m confused by this as I don’t have any children.

Me: who are you talking about? (Husband)? Or I have a dog…

Coworker: Well no! I heard you had a baby!

Me: No i don’t have a baby.

Coworker: No I definitely heard you had a baby! Someone told me you had a baby!

As if I’m lying about it?

Me: I had a MISCARRIAGE last year maybe you misunderstood.

Suddenly her face goes into a look of shock.

Coworker: Oh, oh, I’m sorry.

Me: Yeah, I wish it was a baby.

Coworker: It just wasn’t meant to be.

I walked away and rolled my eyes after that. Saying “it wasn’t meant to be” to someone who had a miscarriage is not comforting. I felt like I was punched in the gut by the universe. I continued out the rest of my day and a week later voluntarily took time off for a month till my corporate job started back up.
