Tyrannosaurus Wrecked ‘Em!

I am on a long road trip. My twin nine-year-old boys have been mostly well-behaved, but we’re in the final hours of a twelve-hour drive, and they’re getting angsty. The long trip has done nothing to dull their wit when it comes to insulting each other.

Both of them are dinosaur-obsessed, and both have large dino books to help pass the time on the trip.

After a long bickering session…

Son #1: “You’re as useful as the P in ‘Pterodactyl’.”

Son #2: “If only you were as silent.”

I had to tell them to stop it as a parent, but inside, I thought it was hilarious. I later found out that this specific insult had been taught to them by their grandpa, but it didn’t dilute the shock I had at listening to them spurt it out of the blue like that!
