Turning Up The Volume
(My boyfriend and I are sitting together. He is reading an entertaining math essay, while I am writing a report for a class. Suddenly he turns to me.)
Boyfriend: “I am going to give you a bushel of kisses.”
Me: “…okay? How much is that?”
(He kisses me quickly four times.)
Boyfriend: “Four pecks!”
(I cannot stop laughing. The essay was on volume unit conversions; a bushel really is four pecks!)
