Turning Into A Soap Opera, Part 3
Our store has a side room with a display of local-made soaps. The room always smells wonderful because of this. One woman goes into the room for a minute or two before she comes back out and approaches the counter.
Customer: “Excuse me, but what smells so good in there?”
Me: “Oh, that’s the soap display.”
Customer: “I know that. But what am I smelling?”
Me: “Well… all of them, I guess. They have a lot of different scents—”
Customer: “No, no, which one am I smelling?!”
Me: “Ma’am, I have no idea. You just have to smell them for yourself—”
Customer: “Ugh, useless!” *Stalks off*
