I work the fish counter at a grocery store.

Customer: “I’ll take a fillet of salmon.”

Me: “Okay!”

Customer: “What’s that beside it?!”

Me: “That’s a whole salmon.”

Customer: “I would never buy something that was alive.”

Me: “Um… that’s where your fillet is coming from.”

Customer: “No, it’s not. I ordered a fillet, not a fish.”
