Try Not To Mess This Up

| Romantic | May 3, 2014

(My fiancé and I have been together for six years. Everyone thinks we have almost the same personality, but we consider ourselves opposites. We are shopping for groceries.)

Cashier: “Wow, I didn’t know we even had organic ketchup!”

Me: “Yeah, we both love it. It tastes the same, really.”

Cashier: “Do you like your ketchup on your fries or on the side?”

Me: “Definitely on the side. I don’t like getting my fingers all dirty. If it’s on the fries I need a fork.”

Cashier *to my fiancé* “And you?”

Fiancé: “On the fries. I don’t care about the mess.”

Cashier *to me* “So you need a fork and he doesn’t mind the mess. I bet you’re really neat and he’s messy, right?”

Me: “No, I’m the messy one. He cleans.”

Cashier: “Wow, you guys must really make that opposites attract thing work.”

Fiancé: “Finally, someone gets us!”
