Totally Missed That Flood Of Obviousness

For multiple reasons, our store has flooded. Part of the ceiling is on the floor, inches-deep water is covering the entire floor, and the power is off.
Despite all this, a customer walks in.
Manager: “Ma’am, we’re closed!”
Customer: “But it’s the middle of the day!”
Manager: “Yes, but as you can see, the store is flooded and not safe. We’re unable to serve customers today.”
Customer: “Then you shouldn’t have the doors open!”
Manager: “We have the doors open to sweep water out and to let some sunlight in.”
Customer: “You wouldn’t need to have the sunlight if you turned on the lights!”
Manager: “Yes, ma’am, let’s turn on the power while water is still actively dripping from everywhere.”
