Tipped To Be A Bad Day

A customer has ordered a coffee, paid, and then says:

Customer: “Where’s your restroom?”

Me: “The restroom is broken, I’m afraid. We have a sign up saying that.”

I point to the signs, but the customer doesn’t look.

Customer: “Then let me use the staff restroom.”

Me: “We don’t actually have one. We’ve been using the one in the mall, just a few stores down.”

Again, he doesn’t look where I am pointing or move from his spot. Instead, he just puts his hand out:

Customer: “Since you won’t let me use your bathroom I want my tip back.”

Dumbfounded, I let him take a dollar from the tip jar and leave with his drink. We told our manager this later as we recovered from the audacity and out of curiosity the manager went back through the footage to see the interaction for himself. The slimy jerk never tipped in the first place!
