Our bookstore has a large section of college textbooks.
Customer: “I need some textbooks for my son.”
Me: “What year is he in, and for what classes?”
Customer: “Oh, whatever the college kids are studying these days.”
Me: “Yes, but I would need to know his year and his classes. Freshman? Sophomore?”
Customer: “Well, he just started. I don’t know what he’s studying. Whatever you think he needs.”
Me: “Maybe you could call him and—”
Customer: “Look, stop making me think for myself! I’m paying you to think for me!”
