This Kind Of Thinking Needs To Go Extinct
A guy is looking around at some toys for his kid.
Kid: “I wanna dinosaur!”
Customer: *To me.* “Where are the toy guns?”
Me: “We don’t sell those, sir. [Toy Store] doesn’t stock them on principle.”
Kid: “But dad, I wanna dinosaur!”
Customer: “Shush, [Kid’s Name].” *Back to me.* “No guns? That’s ridiculous! When I was a kid, we played with toy guns all the time, and we turned out just right.”
Me: “I’m sure there are plenty of toy stores that still sell them, sir, just not here.”
Kid: “Daaaad! I wanna dinosaur!”
Customer: “Is this part of that woke propaganda I’m always hearing about? Trying to turn the kids into snowflakes?”
Me: “No, sir, we just don’t sell toys that promote violence.”
Kid: “Dad! Look! They sell dinosaurs!”
Customer: *Finally looking at his son.* “No! We’ve been through this! Dinosaurs aren’t in the bible!”
Me: “And guns are?”
Customer: *Whips back around, glaring at me.*
Kid: “I wanna T-rex!”
The customer takes his poor son and drags him out the door, vowing to find “a real toy store”.
