This Isn’t Home-Working

(I’m getting online homework for math now, and usually I listen to music when I’m doing it. While my older sister and my mom are at work, my older brother takes care of me. He usually just makes sure I’m fed, I do my homework, and that I come home. While I’m in the living room, he’s with me, playing on his X-Box. I have my headphones on, so I am not listening, but usually he’ll come up and check on me.)

Brother: “How are you feeling?”

Me: “Homework.”

Brother: “I didn’t know homework was an emotion.”

Me: “It must be a bad one at that.”

Brother: “Are you feeling especially homework today?”

Me: “Yeah. On a scale of one to homework, how do you feel?”

Brother: “Extra credit.”
