(My mother’s friend’s son and I are both in our 20s and unemployed, despite looking vigorously for jobs.)

Mom: “I was talking to my friend this morning about her son. I don’t know what it is about your generation. You kids do nothing but sit around on the internet all day!”

Me: “So, what did you with your time do when you were my age?”

Mom: “We had jobs.”

Me: “Well, there you go.”
