This Is Why I Hate Driving: Other Drivers

My friend and I were driving around a traffic circle with a huge statue that obscures the view ahead. As we rounded, there was a small convertible sports car stopped in the travel lane in front of us, and traffic was dodging around. We could see a young woman frantically dealing with the car’s dashboard.

We pulled off the circle and ran over to see if we could push her to safety out of the travel lanes. She was now leaning into the passenger seat. We could see the car was running and asked if we could help push it.

Driver: “My right speaker went out.”

Friend & Me: *Incredulously* “You stopped in traffic because your speaker went out?”

She looked over her shoulder and said grandly:

Driver: “That’s just the sort of person I am.”

We left her.
