This Is A Window To That Upper Class World
Working as a flight attendant for the first/upper-class passengers for a long-haul airline means you get some ‘interesting’ requests or complaints. Not long after take-off, a woman storms out of the first-class toilets (which are very large and lavish, with three windows) and marches up to my manager.
Passenger: “There are windows in the toilet!”
Manager: “Yes, madam. [Airline] prides itself on giving its first-class passengers a room with a view!”
Passenger: “The windows have no blinds!”
Manager: “Yes, madam. Since we need all window blinds open for take-off and landing, and no passenger will be in there during those times, it was decided those windows would not need blinds.”
Passenger: “It’s indecent! Anyone can look in and see me doing my business!”
Manager: “Madam, with all due respect, if someone has clung on to the side of the plane at 35,000 feet to get in a peek of you doing your business, they’ve earned the view…”
