This Call Will Be Fed To The Proper Authorities

I work for a company contracted by the government to help field some overflow calls. This customer called in because he wasn’t happy with something on his bills and escalated from the answering representative to my lead. When he got to my lead, he said the magic words:

Customer: “I’m gonna come there with a gun, and you’ll be all over the news next!”

This was just a few days after an infamous school shooting in Florida. (Ironically, the dude was out of Florida, too.)

Our calls are recorded at a federal level, so my lead flagged it for security. As I understand it, the guy had a WONDERFUL chat with the feds within two hours of the call to try and explain his comments.
