Things Get A Little Catty At The Backyard Barbecue

I had just come out of the house after using the bathroom at my wife’s friend’s backyard BBQ when I saw a black and white cat in the driveway. My wife’s friends have two black and white cats, and I figured one of them had gotten out.
It took a good ten minutes or so, but I finally coaxed the cat to me. Once I got him purring, I picked him up and brought him out back.
Me: “Hey, look who I found wandering around.”
My wife’s friend’s eyes went wide.
Friend: “How… how did you pick up that cat?”
Me: “Isn’t he one of yours?”
Friend: “No, he’s a stray. I’ve been feeding him for two months, but he’s never let me get within ten feet of him.”
And that’s how my wife’s friend ended up with three black and white cats.
