They’re Completely Pine

(My boyfriend and I are headed out to dinner. We’ve been dating for a few years, and living together for several months.)

Boyfriend: “So, umm, I need to ask you something?”

Me: *kind of nervous because I think it’s going to be serious* “Okay?”

Boyfriend: “How do you feel about winter smells around the apartment?”

Me: “Winter smells? Do you mean something like pine?”

Boyfriend: “Yeah, like pine.”

Me: “Oh, sure, I love pine smell”

Boyfriend: “Yes! I knew there was a reason I loved you!!”
