They Do Both Have… Distinctive… Hairstyles
I’m a nanny/babysitter, and last summer, I started looking after my friend’s seven-year-old son. He’s a wonderful kid — very intelligent and curious — but sometimes I worry about what he’s learning. This is one of those times.
We’re at a national everything-for-one-pound shop buying supplies for an art project. [Seven-Year-Old] wants to put the money into the self-checkout himself, so I hand him a £10 note. He feeds it into the machine, and we get a £5 note and a few coins back as change.
[Seven-Year-Old] takes the £5 note and looks at it for a second before saying something that has me and the other adults in line chuckling.
Seven-Year-Old: “Is this Donald Trump?”
Me: “No, darling, that’s Winston Churchill.”
Seven-Year-Old: “Oh. That makes sense. I wondered why an American man was on our money.”
