The Party Toga To!

(After our unit on ancient Greece in world history, all of our teachers decide to have a “Greek Day,” where instead of any of our regular classes, we eat traditional Greek food, watch the Disney version of Hercules, and make bedsheet togas, among other things. Everyone brings white bedsheets for their togas but all I have is a sheet emblazoned with numerous multicolored, Picasso-esque cats, so I hilariously stand out.)

Best Friend: “So which Greek god do you guys think you’d follow if you were alive in ancient times?”

Classmate #1: “Probably Athena. She’s pretty much the only one that wasn’t a total jerk.”

Classmate #2: “Definitely Hades. That’s where all the cool kids hang.”

Best Friend: *noticing my sheet* “Huh… I wasn’t aware there was a god of hippies…”

Me: “I’m a follower of Dionysus, god of wine and crazy parties. We must have had one heck of a night last night!”
