The Number One Reason To Tell You

(One of my neighbours in the building is a mother and a nine-year-old girl. Despite the fact that I am a 23-year-old man, the girl had taken an affinity towards me and often stops by to chat, try my food, play my video games, etc. She is a somewhat eccentric girl and prone to do and say odd things. She’s also a bed wetter and not shy about it, nor about the fact that she wears pull-up type diapers at night to handle it. One night, I am sitting on my couch watching TV with my patio door open to cool my apartment down. I hear the girl and mother talking.)

Girl: “Can I go say goodnight to [My Name]?”

Mother: “Okay, but come right back.”

(I hear the girl running down the stairs and see her run around the building towards my door. I open it as soon as I hear her outside.)

Me: “Hello, [Girl].”

Girl: “I have my diaper on!”

Me: *taken aback* “Uh… okay, then…”

Girl: “I’m gunna pee in it!” *giggles and runs off*
