The Naked Truth

(I have a friends-with-benefits relationship with a man. I consider this relationship to be very casual, until one night this happens:)

Friend With Benefits: “Have fun on your trip! I love you.”

Me: “Uh…”

Friend With Benefits: “What?”

Me: “Saying ‘I love you.’ I, um, it’s… too much.”

Friend With Benefits: “But I’ve said it to you before.”

Me: “I know, but only when we were in bed.”

Friend With Benefits: “So?!”

Me: “‘I love you’ doesn’t count if you’re naked. It’s too easy to love a naked person.”
