(I’m about six. My parents and I are discussing angels and heaven.)

Mom: “And angels usually have names that end in -el. Like Michael, Gabriel, Raphae—”

Me: “Is Superman an angel?”

Mom: “Why do you ask?”

Me: “Because he flies, he helps people, and his real name is Kal-El.”

Dad: *to my mom* “He’s got a point there.”

Mom: *sighs* “Okay, Superman’s an angel.”

Me: “Yay!”

Dad: *kisses my forehead* “I’m so proud of you.”
