The Light Dawned On The Problem
(In mechanics class, our teacher is talking about Newton’s third law.)
Teacher: “So, we’ve got this person here.” *draws a man in a train wagon* “Imagine that the wagon is in motion, and there’s no door and no windows, so he’s unaware that the wagon is even moving. He throws a ball in the air repeatedly.” *draws a ball* “Now, what is he going to see?”
Me: *deadpan* “Nothing. With no light source, all he’ll see is darkness.”
Teacher: “…”
(While that wasn’t what he was getting at, he conceded that I did have a point.)
