Teacher: “Then people started speaking out to free the sleeves, er, slaves…”
Student #1: “Free the sleeves! Yes!”
(Later, same day.)
Teacher: “But still, people, particularly in the South, viewed black people to be morally insuperior… Wait, that’s not right.”
Student #2: “The word you’re looking for is inferior.”
Teacher: “Thank you!”
Student #3: “Free the sleeves! They are morally insuperior! That should be on our class T-shirt.”
