The Hero Of My Dreams

, , , , | Romantic | September 9, 2017

(My wife usually wakes up after I have already left for work. This morning I get a text from her.)

Wife: “You were mean to me last night. First you kept laying your leg over me. Then you stole the comforter, and when I put on another blanket, you stole that, and then somehow you scratched my arm.”

Me: “I am so sorry, Baby. I had some weird dreams.”

Wife: “And you took it out on your wife.”

Me: “Actually, in my dream, I was trying to save you from being stuffed in a bag and carried off. A scratch is nothing in the face of that.”

Wife: “My hero.”

So you dreamt of the Sack Man while in the sack?

i once had a dream that my husband was the villain in, woke up from the nightmare, moved close to him and told him he was mean to me in my dream. his response was to put his arm around me and tell me it was okay, he would protect me from dream-him. it was a really creepy dream too, it took place in our bedroom.

I slapped my boyfriend in the face once… in my half-asleep state, I thought I saw him fall out of bed, so I reached out to grab him. I woke him up with that smack, but he said it was okay, he was having a nightmare anyway.
    …the end justifies the means?

inadvertently pulling him out of a nightmare. maybe your subconscious could tell something was wrong somehow lol.

  • Luckily my husband has never hurt me in his sleep, ha. Although whenever I dream about him being mean to me, his response when I tell him about it is always the same “I am not responsible for dream-me!”

my husbands response is to reassure me that i am safe, because he will protect me, from him.

Try putting a long body pillow between you! It’s a shield when they use it, and it tangles up your limbs when you do.
