The Great Trek War
(I am ringing through a customer’s payment.)
Me: “Okay, I put that entire amount onto your auto loan. Do you mind holding while I get an override from my supervisor to process?”
Customer: “Sure.”
Me: “Hey, [supervisor]! Can I make the payment in full for this account?”
Supervisor: “Make it so.”
(The computer freezes in the middle of transaction.)
Me: *swipes hand across in Jedi motion* “You will complete this transaction.”
(The computer unfreezes, and completes transaction.)
Me: “Yeah, I think that settles that debate!”
