(I’m with two friends at lunch, discussing a the recent finale of a show we’re all fans of, Friend #1 and I have seen it, Friend #2 has not.)
Friend #1: “Oh, my god. First it was like ahhhh! And then it was noooooo and finally Yay! So you have to see it!”
Me: *jokingly* “Eat fruit salad, not word salad.”
Friend #1: “Okay! As long as there are no tomatoes in the fruit salad!”
Me: “Also, avocados, they’re also fruits.”
Friend #2: “Guys, neither of those belong in fruit salad.”
Friend #1: “Well, botanically speaking they do!”
