The Fiancé You Deserve And Need

(We are watching the 1989 Tim Burton Batman movie, which my fiancé has never seen in its entirety. This is at the point that Batman’s driving through a series of explosions set off by Joker.)

Fiancé: “You know, I could never be Batman. I mean, he walks around with an arsenal on him all the time. If he crashes his car the wrong way, he’s toast.”

Me: “Yeah, but… honey, you can’t be Batman, anyway. You don’t have the money.”

Fiancé: “True.”

(Pause.)

Me: “I’d still marry you, though.”

Fiancé: “I know.”
