The Connection Got Turned On

(I preparing some food in my college apartment, which has an awful wifi connection, when a roommate walks into the kitchen holding her laptop aloft. I turn to watch her.)

Roommate: “I am looking for wifi.”

Me: “Try stroking it.”

(Roommate strokes it, and I turn back to the counter.)

Roommate: “It worked!”
