The Cake Was Passable

(I moved around a lot resulting in enough credits to leave school a half a year early. I do well in all my classes but government, which I need to get out. For the life of me I can’t get anything right in the class. Before the final I walk up to the teacher after class.)

Teacher: “You know you need to pass this exam in order to not fail?”

Me: “I know! I’m trying! Is there any way I could get extra credit if I brought you cake?”

Teacher: *raising an eyebrow* “Vanilla, extra frosting, and I’ll think about it.”

(Day of finals I set a homemade cake with tons of frosting on her desk. It must have worked ‘cause I passed the class with a D and didn’t go back to school until the gown fitting.)
