The Biggest Drama At The Movies Is Finding The Movie
Me: *Gesturing to my right.* “You’re in theater one. You go down the hallway this way, and it’ll be the first theater on your left.”
Customer: “Thank you.”
They wander down the hall and I continue tearing tickets. A few minutes later, they walk back up to me.
Customer: “Which theater am I in again?”
Me: *Gesturing down the hall.* “You’re in theater one. It’s down that way. It’s the first theater on your left.”
Customer: “Okay, thanks.”
About thirty seconds later, they return.
Customer: “I can’t find my theater.”
Me: *Turning and gesturing down the hall.* “It’s theater one. You walk down that way…” *I point my finger to the left and move it back and forth.* “… and it’ll be the first theater on your left.”
Customer: “Okey-dokey.”
Two minutes later, they return.
Customer: “I think you sent me to the wrong theater.”
I call over a coworker to watch the ticket-taker booth and walk the customer down the hall. I turn to my left and start to enter theater one to check since it should be the right theater.
Customer: “Oh, it’s the one on the left? I didn’t realize that. Thanks!”
They wander into the theater, happy as can be. I return to the booth, absolutely confused as to which theater they had gone into…
