The A In LGBTQA Also Stands For Arsonist

(My dorm in college has a large number of odd folks living there. One guy is known for playing with fire, riding unicycles in the halls, and all manner of weird things. Nice kid, but weird. One day our RA calls a hall meeting and is uncharacteristically somber and stern.)

RA: “We need to have a serious talk about tolerance.”

(He then held up a sign for an LBTQ event which was half burnt.)

RA: “This is considered an act of intimidation and we will not tolerate it.”

Weird Kid: “Um, [RA]?”

RA: “Yes?”

Weird Kid: “Um, that was just me burning random s*** again. Next time I’ll read it first.”

RA: *visibly relieved* “Oh, thank God. I thought we had some major bigot to deal with.”

(It said something about our dorm that living with a pyromaniac didn’t faze us, but a bigot? No, thanks!)
