(A student behind me throughout the class will randomly start giggling or sniggering, and sometimes cry a bit. Finally, fed up with the giggling, I spin around in my chair.)
Me: “Are you high?”
Student: “I actually am… I did an edible last period.”
Me: *not expecting that response* “Do you usually do drugs in second period?”
Student: “No… I usually wait until fourth period. But I started early today.”
