That’s One Way To Drink The Hair Of The Dog
I’m a bartender. A guy sits down and stares at the menu.
Customer: “What’s your cheapest beer?”
Me: “Pabst. Three bucks.”
Customer: “What’s your most expensive?”
Me: “Barrel-aged stout. Eighteen dollars.”
Customer: “What’s the difference?”
Me: *Laughing.* “Fifteen dollars and the word ‘craft.'”
I go into a brief summary of how a barrel-aged stout differs from the cheap stuff. I tell him it’s brewed somewhat locally and made in smaller batches. He ordered the Pabst.
An hour later, he flagged me down.
Customer: “I’ll try the stout, actually.”
Me: “What changed your mind?”
Customer: “I Googled the brewery. They have a dog in all their photos. I trust them.”
