(In eighth grade social studies, we are discussing possible solutions to post-9/11 conflict in the Middle East.)
Student: “I feel like we’re making this more complicated than we have to.”
Teacher: “How so, [Student]?”
Student: “Well, we have the capability to potentially build a moon colony. So we just move America to the moon and use our nuclear weapons to eliminate all life on earth. Then when there’s conflict on the moon we just make an earth colony and nuke the moon and just go back and forth like that.”
