That Teacher Had Amazing Chemistry With Their Students

| Learning | May 25, 2017

(I’m a TA, and I’ve been one for a few years. I was asked to escort a guest lecturer to her classroom, but she’s here to teach physics, which isn’t my subject.)

Guest Lecturer: “I’m supposed to be in… hall A? I think?”

Me: “Uh, our rooms are numbered. Do you mean hall one?”

Guest Lecturer: “Maybe…”

(We get to hall one and hear noise coming from inside. I assume it’s just an unruly class waiting for their lecturer until we open the door.)

(Someone has written “CHEMISTRY ROOLS” on the board, and the professor is wearing a dunce cap with “CHEMIST” written on it. We close the door and back out.)

Me: “I, uh, I… I think that was chemistry.”

Guest Lecturer: “…I f****** love this school. Maybe it’s hall 4?”

(It was hall four. I never found out what the chemistry class was up to.)
