That Phrase Missed The Mark

A patron is returning some books on political science and history, and discussing the current state of American politics.

Patron: “JFK would be ashamed of what this country has become and the state of its politics. He dodged a bullet by dying early and avoiding all this trash.”

Me: “Is there literally any other way you could have phrased that?”
