(I haven’t been dating my boyfriend for that long and it’s long distance. So, when one of us is in the other’s city, we spend as much time as possible together. We’re hanging out with my brother and sister who are appalled at some of the movie he hasn’t seen.)

Brother: “You know, you can borrow The Godfather or any of these other movies anytime. Unless you break up with my sister, then I’ll need them back.”

Boyfriend: “I might take you up on that.”

(I look over at him.)

Boyfriend: “I meant the movies, not breaking up with you!”
