Technology: The Next Generation Gap

(My mother is trying to forward an email to one of her friends and she wants to insert a message. She isn’t good with technology and grammar.)

Mother: “How do I put message here?”

Me: “You have to click on the message in order to type.”

Mother: “Where is message?”

(I take a quick glance at her computer and I see that the cursor is directly on it.)

Me: “Mom, you just need to click.”

Mother: “So I click enter?”

Me: “No, on the mouse.”

Mother: “YOU NEED TO COME HERE! THERE IS A LOT ON MY HEAD! I DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!”

(I just reach over and hit the left mouse button without moving it.)

Mother: “Oh, the mouse.”

Me: *face-palm*
