Taking Care Of His Business

(It is the day after our dad left on a business trip. Just out of the shower, I’m talking to my sister when I look out the window to see that it is raining into our dad’s car.)

Me: “Oh, crap, Dad left his windows down. Can you go take care of that?”

Sister: “Uh…”

Me: “I’ll go grab the keys!”

(She gets the windows rolled back up while I get dressed.)

Sister: “Ugh, what kind of doofus leaves his windows down before going out of the freaking country?!”

Me: “The same kind of doofus who left his spare cellphone behind charging. Or the motor oil pan under my car.”
