Today, September 10, is the birthday of the late Arnold Palmer. Palmer, nicknamed “The King,” was an American professional golfer who is credited with popularizing the sport of golf during the sixties, along with Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player. In more than sixty years of play, he won over sixty PGA Tour titles! Incidentally, he’s also credited with the invention of the popular “Arnold Palmer” beverage, a combination of sweet iced tea and (American) lemonade.
