Yet Another 10 Stories About The Geographically Confused!

, | Right | November 15, 2021

Dear readers,

It’s Geography Awareness Week! Geography is the study of physical locations and the relationship between humans and the world around them. Just about everyone who’s had any kind of formal education has studied geography to some extent, but that doesn’t always show – as evidenced by our seventy-three pages of published stories in the Geography tag and three previous roundups on the subject!

In honor of this week, we’ve mapped out 10 more stories from our archives about people who are geographically challenged.

Telling You Flatly – He came a-round to the truth eventually.

Cuzco, The Prince Of Egypt – Hits from the comments: “I’m surprised he knew where the Sphinx was.”

What A Dummkopf – Where the heck did you go to school?!

14 Stories About Mental Health That Will Help With Your Awareness

| Right | October 10, 2021

Dear readers,

Mental health is a tricky subject to talk about. Many people suffer mental health issues but very few seem to be aware of it. Many countries around the world host Mental Health Weeks, and most of those culminate in today, World Mental Health Day.

The purpose of World Mental Health Day is to increase education on mental health topics and through increasing awareness, hopefully, eliminate the stigmas attached and encourage sufferers to seek help and support.

To do our part, we’ve rounded up fourteen stories from our archives that deal with mental health in various ways. Some of these are through good-natured humor, others in highlighting what mental health conditions can do to employees in the workplace, and how support is vital!

We hope you find these stories educational, but most importantly, if you think you need to talk to someone about your mental health, please don’t hesitate! Reach out; there are many organizations out there who are willing to listen and guide you.

That’s A Resignation For The Books – Hits from the comments: “No paycheck is worth your health. Good on you!”

And They Don’t Like Your Shirt Either – Yiiiiiikes, buddy.

Panic Attacks Should Not Be Attacked – This sounds an awful lot like discrimination.

11 Stories For Bisexual Awareness Week!

| Right | September 24, 2021

Dear readers,

Yesterday was Celebrate Bisexuality Day, and this last week was Bisexual Awareness Week! We apologize for our lateness with this roundup. (But we won’t apologize for the plethora of bi-themed puns in the titles!) While bisexuality is included in the LGBTQ+ community, it’s often overlooked. Bi erasure is still an issue bisexual people deal with, and people often dismiss them as confused, promiscuous, or just plain wrong. But to all our bisexual readers, we see you and you are valid!

In honor of this occasion, we’ve rounded up 11 stories that feature confusion, bigotry, silliness, and some good old-fashioned warm fuzzies surrounding bisexuality!

Fathers Just Have To Be Told Straight, Part 3 – Confusion is better than intolerance, I suppose!

Saying Bi To Normalcy – Pastry is an appropriate response to almost anything.

Say Bi-Bye – Sounds like bigotry is just the first of many red flags here.

10 Wacky Wedding Tales To Read Before You Walk Down The Aisle!

| Right | September 20, 2021

Dear readers,

A lot of our roundups are inspired by weird “holidays”. This one is inspired by the fact that I recently watched an episode of a fifteen-year-old TV show where one of the characters had a somewhat unconventional wedding. (Actually, it was two weddings: one to appease the bride’s Buddhist grandmother and another to appease her Baptist mother. A thousand Internets to whoever guesses the show!)

So, inspired by this show, we bring to you a roundup about weddings! Weddings and the planning thereof are an incredibly stressful business. Theoretically, you’ll only have one in your lifetime, so naturally, you want all the details to be perfect. Here are 10 stories about the wedding process going a bit sideways!

Dyed With Fresh Afterbirth – Maybe if you tie-dyed it…

Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Pink – Sounds like their alcohol budget just tripled.

The Wedding Veil Of Secrecy – Oh, to be a fly on the wall during that conversation!
