Knowing The Problem Is Half The Lazy Battle
(I am a fourth grade teacher’s assistant. I am helping a girl with a math problem, but she is very disinterested and whiny, and has spent most of the school year disrupting most of the lessons. My patience is rapidly wearing thin.)
Student: “But Miss [My Name], what if I get a problem like this again?”
Me: “Then, you’ll solve it the same way we did just now.”
Student: “But I’m too lazy to do math.”
Me: “Well, it sounds like you’ve just figured out the problem.”
