Tact Is Ageless, Age Is Tactless

(I am in college. Knowing how forgetful I am, my father calls me to remind me of a few things.)

Dad: “…and remember, today’s [uncle]’s birthday. You should give him a call.”

Me: “Okay, will do.”

Dad: “Do you know what age he turns today?”

Me: “Does it matter? Once you’ve hit your age, it’s just getting older anyway.”
