Sweet, Sweet Failure

(My parents are in town visiting my husband and me. My husband is gluten-intolerant but my parents and I are not.)

Me: “So, dessert. I have some wheat-based muffins and those cookies we had last time you were here.”

Mom: “What about something [Husband] can have, too?”

Me: “Well, we were just experimenting with a new gluten-free cookie recipe but they kinda failed…”

Mom: *very quickly* “We’ll have those!”

(The following day after lunch.)

Mom: “I’ll have more of those failure cookies.”
