Surprising Sole Sisters
I’m a female employee with short hair working in a shoe store. A mother and her teenage daughter (I’d say fifteen to sixteen) are looking at the selection, and the daughter picks up a pair of sneakers.
Mom: “No, [Daughter]. Sneakers are for children and lesbians.”
As if to make a point, the mom looks at me. I am currently wearing store-brand sneakers.
Mom: “There, see what I mean. Do you want to look like her?”
Daughter: “God, one day I hope so!”
Made my day!
