Strictly A Love/Hate Relationship
(I go to a therapeutic school due to my anxiety and social phobia, and a number of other reasons. As such, most of the classes are small, with each student working in a different subject, so the discussion can be quite random at times.)
Classmate: “[Teacher], I love you.”
Teacher: “Oh! How old are you? That’s not good. You know students and teachers can’t… oh, my.” *she begins to ramble about teacher-student relationships*
Classmate: “I said I love you, I’m not IN LOVE with you.”
Teacher: “You know [Other Teacher]? There was one time with this student…”
(At this point we are all laughing at her.)
Me: “Okay, [Teacher]. If I can’t love you, then I despise you. Is that better?”
Teacher: “Oh, I’ve managed that before.”
